Bayport Group has completed 13 stages of the Somerfield Estate and currently has 7 stages ongoing. This development has involved tight client deadlines with special attention required due to existing gas and water infrastructure, generally during the reconstruction of Church Rd. Some success can be attributed to our extensive traffic management regimes during the reconstruction of Church Road, in accommodating local traffic on this major thoroughfare. Sheltons Main Drain, a major earthworks open channel construction approximately 40 metres wide was constructed to satisfy both Melbourne Water and council requirements. These medium density residential stages have been constructed over 5 of the completed 13 stages. Specialised infrastructure for this development also included three water filtering gross pollutant traps and large diameter drains showcasing another aspect of our skillset.
Farming land remediation along with high volume earthworks were also a necessity. Working closely with environmental authorities has seen Bayport Group achieve environmental certification throughout this project.
